TY 4 Stroke Master
Well, after some adjustments and a change in trail conditions here is my opinions.
1. Rear susp. is alot better now, comp is 4 cliclks from the top, torsion is med. front shock is factory setting, limiter straps started out two holes up and changed them to one hole up (factory set.) I changed the strap back to factory cuz of the hard packed trails and my powder hounds with 7.5 shapers had exsesive steering effort and med. darting, I think I will shim the ski's and adjust the toe.
2. Front susp. is better, but still has a problem with big bumps. I rode a 09 RTX back to back and can say the studders and med. bumps are far better with the GYTR's vs. Floats. My settings are comp. full (hardest setting) rebound 4 clicks from top, springs were let loose to 1.75in of preload, I zip tied the shaft and it had full movement in the first 10 miles, I think tripple rate spings would be great to have on this shock.
3. Wind protection, is alot better with medium windy and side deflectors, with my Klim gear I never get cold in the torso area, the dumbo ears worked GREAT, and are very easy to take on and off for trailering (cover)
4. No real major ice build up, a tad more then my F7 but nothing to B!TCH about for me anyway, though I do have a heated shop to thaw after the weekend so I could see a issue over time.
5. Hand warmers are here then gone then here then gone ect. They do get warm, warmer then I thought they would but only about 20% of the time.
6. My SlyDog wheels look great after the 300 mile weekend, they havent got a single flaw in them......Very happy with them, got a ton of people looking at the sled.
7. Super happy with 114 studs, just enough to get traction but not too many to stick it hard in the corner, this sled loves throttle in the corner, have to get your brain and your thumb to agree that your safe to do that but when you figure it out the sled has enough power to overcome the studs and spin witch gets you pointed in the right direction then completely mash it and your gone, though I found that I had to let off once or twice when leaving the corner as the sled would walk to the edge of the trail, but once you let the ski touch it was staight and off to the next corner.
Overall I am now 98% happy with the sled and can see where some people may find frustration in trying to ride ths machine, It demands 100% of your attention and is at times a work out ridding but the cons are far exceeded by the pros so for me I will bleed BLUE for now!
