I have my front skid shock spring loosened up to the min factory setting and the torsion spring blocks set on soft. I just put 310 miles on this new track over the weekend and it did not seem to stretch one bit. I am thinking my (6) Excel wheels and low snow wheel kit might have something to do with how tight the track is?
Thanks, G.B.

All I can say is WOW! I rode this sled for the first time this weekend with the stretch it just rocks. I cannot believe what a difference this track made along with Ulmers dialed in clutch kit. The sled felt like it had 30 more HP. Rode mostly hard packed trails and this thing just hooks up and goes. Little to no track spin. The sled pulls really hard from 50 - 70mph. Just awesome. I couldnt be happier. I cant say if it helped my icing issue as conditions with hard packed groomed trails are not where I had issues with icing and overheating. I am hoping for the best.
I was happy with the handling as well. I pulled the limiter strap down to the 3rd hole. It had been on the stock setting with hole #2. Running 6" carbides down the center and 4" carbides on the outside of the Pilot 5.7 skis, I thought it had a good balance of push and bite in the corners. I prefer a bit a push vs. too much bite and inside ski lift. I found I could come into a corner hot, chop the throttle and have the sled pivot into the corner and then mash the throttle. It pulls really hard coming out of the corner now with the new set up.
The track did not seem to stretch much if any after 310 miles. The new hyfax has some wear but hope they have settled in. I will have to keep an eye on hyfax wear and see how it does.
Thanks to all for your help and input. With special thanks to Ulmer Racing and hibshman25 for the parts I needed to put this thing together. G.B.

Oh man, I think I just threw away the carboard templates I made to bend up these brackets last week. I can send you some close up pictures but not untill next week. The sled is in the trailer ready to head up North in 3 hours.

To bad about the templates, if you could get me some closeups it would be great and then we will know if they held up after you put it to use
Did you weld the brackets and original snowflap mounts or did you bend the bracket behind and rivet them togheter?
