1.5 track on 07 attack

Viper_Dave, Im planning on doing the same Hartman conversion to my GT with the 1.5 crossover. I ride 75% on trail, 25% off. Wondering if extending the track length changes the geometry of the rear skid mostly for on trail riding (I have the big boy ohlins rear spring). Also I have mtn skiis on it, however did you change gearing to compensate for the track drag?

Yes I did. Went from 23/38 to 21/38 and didn't need to tweak my clutching. I will be changing my primary spring to lower my engagement. It's too abrupt when boon docking.

sleddog what are you running for clutching? I need to get my RPM back up since my track change.

Ulmer set me up with his clutch kit. I told him what I have, and he set me up with eveerything. Last year I was 400/500 rpm low, so over the summer, I took a small washer off the tip and heal of the supertip weight. Should be about 10,800 now per alan ulmer. We will see when the snow flies. If you already have his kit, then my weight now only has the large washer in the middle of the supertip. Both the tip and heal are now empty. Hope this helps.

I know for my apex GT (08) the 1.5 inch track did not clear the tunnel protectors in the back.... extending the rear drop brackets, remounting them or getting new ones are options....

I put a 2.5" paddle on my 07 attak. I removed the tunnel protectors, added anti ratchet drivers and reduced the gearing by 2 teeth. I also need to get a shorter chain. Its an entire different sled now.

I'm still running the stock weights so that won't help. Thanks any way. Anyone have any suggestions. I'd start a new post but this probably relevent to that track change. By the way when I changed mine to a 1.5" track I removed all the tunnel protectors.
