Anyone else, both sleds have 1100 miles and just pipes now, nothing else, checked at least a dozen times.....15 gal = 150 miles then thats it. Ran out of fuel loading onto the trailer last night....all 6 of my rxwarriors with 165 jets, ecp, pipe, ect got 15+??? What gives, hope that this can be remedied.

Maybe it's the pipe. You should of calculated it without the pipe.

Just because the Apex has Fuel injection doesn't mean it's going to get better fuel mileage.

1. 150 hp motor verse 137 HP RX-1 motor
2. Even in stock form the Apex makes about 80 HP to the track. That's what a Filtered/ Clutched RX-1 made.
3. With better suspensions, Rider forward, and more power guys are riding harder then they did on there RX-1's

These are all variables in Fuel mileage. Not to mention the fact that you've changed the Exhaust. the Factory Exhaust was designed to run on that motor. The fuel injection may need to be tweaked for that pipe.

Just curious, did Yamaha somewhere and/or at sometime, say what kind of mileage could be expected on average (average... if there IS such a thing!) on their '06 sleds??? – Roy

Does anyone else remember a thread where the injectors were "stuck" on rich mode..... apparently it can be remapped?

Hi cowboy not sure what you are saying that you used 15 gal. to go 150 miles,is that right..... If so is it the new apex/attak if so was you busting trail?? We rode long pond over christmas, the next day after christmas before anyone broke out most of the trails, and i was doing most of that w/attak in 14-18" of packed/rain pounded snow, and i only got between 9.5 and 11 mpg but i was riding around 70-100 mph doing the breaking, yea i would liked to get better, and at thanksgiven same trails semi packed snow 14-15 mpg so i think it will get between 12-16 when conditions permit, now when you figure the prox7 that was breaking same trail behind me was getting between 5-6 mpg i can live with this.. :bling

around 500 miles on my RTX and Im seeing a consistent 14-15mpg. My buddys polaris FST with a 9 gallon tank is getting 11mpg.. he bought it for saddlebag touring and hes not very happy.

700 miles on my GT, last nite she did 16.37 mpg CDN (13.63 mpg US).

I think she might get better by a few drops until 1000 miles ...Still very happy don't have the poor oil at each fill.
