111 on vector

Grandkids had me giving rides for two hours... Hmmmmm Oh well, we had fun. MM.

Best I've seen on the dream meter is 114 mph on a lake with perfect high speed conditions.

I've dropped 1 tooth on my top gear, and have 120 studs up the center belt.

If you down a tooth on the top sprocket and add a tooth on the bottom sprocket, what rpm change would you see? How would you correct it?

Not sure. I only dropped a tooth on the top sprocket....the bottom one is stock. This has brought my rpm's up to 8900. From what I understand by installing slightly heavier rivets in the weights will bring it back down to 8600.

I know most of you guys have my beat, but I saw 107 on my speedo....now my GPS verified it as 103 and that was a sustained speed for about 2 miles. Not just hitting it and backing off. Normally I run about 81 to 93 with the guys I ride with. RS Vector ER stock. That was last season however. This season I played a little more conservative and only say 98 on the GPS.

For those interested, I use a garmin 69cs. I have it very well calibrated and when driving in my truck it always seems to be exact. If you think about this, it make pretty good sense because your going to have some minimal slippage between the track and a hard packed trail due to ice. If you consider 4 mph difference at about 107 vs 103 mph, that is less then a 4 percent difference. That is pretty descent error margin even by scientific standards.

Good luck to all of you shooting for the top speed. Keep if safe...if there is such a thing at these speeds!

I'm running at 8900 myself right now and it's not allowing me to fully shift out anymore. I'm running a 52-36 helix with 54 gram primary weights and a blue/orange goodwin primary spring. I'm going to try loosening the secondary spring by a notch to see what it drops to.

Any results yet?

I lost snow in my area before I got to test the change..... :o|

I'm hoping to get one more ride around my property in the Keweenaw yet this year but I'm not holding my breathe
