My XTX didn't have 12 DC outlet mounted so I bought the OEM outlet. But does anyone know where to connect it? I can't find any spare connector under the hood...

It should be on the clutch side, above and behind the secondary I think.
Installed the OEM Yamaha 12 Volt kit today on my XTX 2011. As Redrider18 says its located on the clutch side, it has a dummy plug you have to remove. Its a 5 minute install.

Check for a freyed wire where the connector is. Had fixed one once that was rubbing on the radiator mount.
