Doe anyone think the rear pivot arm of the 2010 apex ltx could fit on a 2006 121" suspension?

The only thing i see is the 7" wheel missing....if wee take the pivot top tube and cut it to specific length to fit the 7" wheels this should make a great fix because It have nice plastic ski on top to solve shock rubbing.

Tell me what you think.

Maybe somebody could look at this solution that i am thinking.

Put bigger wheels on top like 7.125" or 7.5" or 8" to have better clearance on the shock and put new rear bracket with lower mounting point to reset clearance between track and rail protector.

What do guy's think of this?

I still think that the 2010 ltx pivot arm can be modified to put the 7" wheels but wonder if the plastic slide will be ok with the 121" track angle?

The 2010's have a piece of pipe welded to the top of the cross shaft. Simple fix, I actually made brackets and bought the black plastic skids from the attack in an attempt to do just what your talking about. In the end I wasn't comfortable with the angle the track ran up the pads in combination with the travel range of the arm. Since the pads ride betwen the drive cogs, there isn't much room for error. Without the rear axle there to flatten the angle I ended up removing the plates. Good thing I had only tacked them on at that point. The piece of pipe is very simple and should last quite a while, if you add one yourself just hard face the wear surface and it should last forever.

I have put a piece of pipe already...1" but it does not prevent the track from flexing in the middle and the pipe is still a rubbing piece of metal.the track is rubbing on the shock but no wear on the shock because no stud in the middle, but it damage my track.

What size is your pipe? does it work for you?

Srxspec pointed me in another direction:

Quote:
Each rear pivot arm could have the ears for the rear shock mount located slightly different which would be why some monoshock suspension don't rub at all and some rub on the track hard.

I have found 4 part # for rear pivot arm

2006-2007 8fu-47332-10-00

2008 8fu-47332-11-00

2009 8fu-47332-12-00 ( pipe on top )

2010 8jA-47332-00-00 ( pipe on top loop on the bottom )

Could someone confirm the statement above or tell me the difference between these 4 part #?
