Looks like Yamaha doubled the rear braces on the Attack compared to my 121 05 mono!
I don't know what to think!!??

The easiest way would be to get the skid off an 06 Warrior or M10136 or Cat 136. I don't know if your 05 121 will work right if you put extentions on it to 136".

I heard that you couldn't just extend the skid to 136. Yami changed the geometry of the 136 vs the 121
So maybe a 136 Expert X

They didn't change the geometry significantly.
Not too hard to extend.
Buy a set of 7.5" rail extensions.
Buy a shaft that you can put two 5" wheels onto.
REMOVE existing upper big wheels from shaft and replace with spacers. Put new 5" wheels on the new shaft and locate it 8" back from shaft where they came off from (that is, keep the track in line with where it originally was).
So far real easy.
Now the fun part.
The rear main arm has to be MODIFIED.
If you look at the pictures on the Yamaha website of the Attak, you can see that the diagonal brace has been removed and replaced with two more curved pipes. This is because they would otherwise be in the way of the NEW SHAFT. Any monkey with a mig welder would be happy to do this for real cheap.

Don't use it, all it is is rail extensions. The track will tension like a banjo string when the suspension compresses, which will prevent it from fully compressing.

i called hartman and he thought there was no prob at all , but all he offers are extensions, which i dont want to do. He recommened anti ratchet drivers and going with a fully clipped track as well. I also called mountain performance who ive been dealing with for the past three season and they said they will have to wait to see what they are going to do as far as 136" goes, so I probably wont know till summer. When i go to the 06 show ill be taking detailed measurments, and pictures and will be seeing if i can order 06 attak rails and modding the current 121 skid. MPI said thou that they will most likly be doing a 144" billet rail for the new skid and that may be the way ill go. Now i just have to decide between the gt or rtx, its too bad the attak doesnt have the good graphics/shocks/paint/windsheild, because my life would be alot simpler. Ill keep anyone intyerested posted as to what i find.
