Going to a 128" track off season on my GT. I'm considering 1" Hacksaw (every window open, every 3rd clipped) or 1.25" fully clipped Ripsaw. Like the holeshots of the current ripsaw and whould like to know how much will i sacrifice by giving up .25" to Hacksaw with 160 studs. Opinions, feedback???

Talk to 1000stroker, he went the hacksaw route, and he really likes it. He got a limited build 14x128, i think they only stock a 13.5x128, and i am not sure if that fits? I know the make a 15x128 ripsaw, thats what i have. 1000stroker went with 160 1.325 studs in the hacksaw, with every outside lug filled and it hooked on hardpack like it had chisels, it was unreal! As far as in the loose stuff, i don't think he gave up much if anything at all, unless it got super loose as in off trail or something. He also said he measured it, and from the inside of the track, the hacksaw is only 1/8" shorter. I would certainly do the fully clipped track either way, they are alot better, especially with the marginal conditions we have so often.

I understand stroker is running Hacksaw. However, he is running 1.340" Roetin studs with it which i believe in total length are pushing 1-7/8" and he is studded every outside window. Yes, he is going to get some awsome holeshots! I'd prefer to stay with a touch shorter stud and run them in middle only. Can't corner as well with studs on outside.

Get the Hacksaw if you have to have either one. The Ripsaw is junk

Just FYI, my sled corners very well studded every outside row. It sticks very well and does not push anymore with the right chassis set up.
