I attempted to install the 12mm bar supplied by Pioneer 2 weeks ago while on a trip. I ended up putting the stock one back on.
Here's the issue. I could not get the arms to line up to allow me to put the bolts back in. I would line up one and the other would be way off. I must have played with it for over an hour. We even placed both the stock one and the 12mm on the bench. On the stock one both arms would lay flat but not with the 12mm one. One would touch and the other would be about 3/4 of an inch off the bench no matter which groove I put it in. I am not referring to the bolts that hold the arm on to the new shaft. I am talking about being able to bolt it back onto the sled.
I spoke with Bruce who had no issues with me sending it back but I figured I would ask here before sending it back.
Thanks,
-Moose

I'm not sure if it matters, but did you try FLIPPING the arm?

Yes, I am the only one that has ridden this sled and never hit anything. Well nothing that would cause the front end to be damaged..... The sled has no darting or wandering issues...

when you attempted to install the bar....the sled needs to be in the air with load off the suspension....was it?

Yes, the front end was up in the air. I might have been able to bolt everything back but I would have had to really force it.

with the extra stiffness of the larger bar you may require the use of an aligning punch to get the bolt started.

Without hijacking your thread, I was interested in upgrading to a heavier sway bar too.
Is there more than one diameter available? I have only heard of 13mm before this post.
What is the stock diameter?

Stock is 11mm. You can get a 12 or 13mm.

I was waiting for someone to state this.. It seems like a very straight foward install. Sending it back today.
Thanks
