Hey guys, what kind of deal can we get on the 12v accessory plug that is found on the RS Venture? I was going to buy an aftermarket one but after some research it would be very nice to drill the hole and plug er into the factory plug already there.

I believe this is the part number:

Plug: 8ET-8254B-00-00
Retaining Nut: 5GH-82114-00-00

Yamaha is selling the pieces you are looking for in a kit to fit the Vector and Rage models. You get the outlet as an assembly and the plug to insert into the outlet. The kit part number is 8ET-W8192-00-00. Yamaha retails these for $44.00. Follow the link below for our price and to see a picture of the kit. Thanks

Can I convert my Optimate charger to plug in this outlet to charge the sled? Thanks.

Hey Kevin.....

Do you actually have these kits in stock? I tried to order one from the dealer i bought my sled from and they said Yamaha wharehouse didn't show any in stock...and no date on when they would be in...

If you do, I'm going to order one......damn gps sucks batteries down like it's going out of style.....

RX1Tahoe - I don't think you would be able to plug the Optimate into that plug and charge it. Maybe if you wired it directly to the battery? Not sure on that one.

Grip134 - We do have these kits in stock and availble if you need one.

RocketRollinSX - Unfortunately the only way its sold is in the kit. I ran the numbers you supplied above and the outlet as a replacement part sells for $71.28 and the nut for 10.98. Those prices make the kit look cheap. I believe the difference in the pricing is due to the kit being sourced and sold as an accessory by Yamaha US.

Yes and no. You could put an accesory plug on your charger (that is how I keep my bike charged) but this only makes connection when the sled is running. If you wired it straight to the battery (use a 5-10 amp inline fuse) it would work like a charm.
