is running my heated visor with the 12v adapter in the accessory plug going to give me problems

Voltage or current is not the problem when using the accessory plug. The plug, itself, is the problem is (from my experience) after going over the bumps and whatnot, the plug seems to work itself out of the outlet causing a loss of connection. I got tired of plugging it back it and hardwired it on the back side of the accerroy plug.

1700 miles of riding using the 12V accessory plug for my heated shield and I have never had the plug come loose even on the roughest of trails. The fuse has never blown because of the heated shield current draw.
I have however blown fuses when I have disconnected the cord at the shield end and let the center pin of the connector touch a metal surface with the engine running.
