Hey guys, Where are you all getting your 12v power from to power up boost & afr gauges? Need help locating the power source. The gauges are the last bit of items left on the install of my mpi 190 kit. Your help would be greatly appreciated , I've read up that some are splicing into cig lighter. Seems like there plug n play but I'm not sure where to start looking for the connection as I have everything else pretty much installed.

Here's my setup. I just tapped into the 12v plug on the dash.

I made a 3 wire pigtail that comes off the cigarette lighter wires. One for the lighter, one for my Rocktoyz power supply and one for the gauges. That way I can remove any of them without taking apart others.

When you tapped into the cig lighter did you solder the wires and or use heat shrink? Seems like a nice set up I might have to copy yours.

Just crimp and seal connectors. I really like it because when u take your hood off you don't have to unplug anything. When you tapped into the cig lighter did you solder the wires and or use heat shrink? Seems like a nice set up I might have to copy yours.

Above the right foot well on the chaincase there is a two wire connector that is capped off which has accessory power. At the auto parts store get a two conductor wire harness in the trailer wiring section, cut in half and use one pigtail for your gauge power.

I have my gauges connected to the right foot well. Is a PITA to take the hood off. I had to wrap my wires with heat insulated foil to keep the wires from getting hard and crispy this year. I am going to the lighter this summer.
