Where can I get a 12v power source that is only on when sled is on?

not on an 08.....there is no connection. besides, I want to hard wire a connection that I can use to attach a USB connector to power up a GPS

The factory accessory plug harness is on the left side under the hood along the side of the rad area. White 2 prong harness.

If your sled didn't have a lighter in the dash the factory harness will have a plug in the connector. Like yannie said, under the hood, look right behind the upper headlight mount leg on the drivers side, in a little bundle of wires there is a white connector with that weather plug in it, remove the weather plug and get Rocks power accessory piece, it plugs right in and give you some options for powering items.

Could somebody direct me to the products referred to above? "Rocks power accessory that connects to stock harness"

Thanks

I guess it's the same electrical harness to all the different years of Nytro's. Cut the white plug and attach your USB connector to the wires directly. Or find a connector that fits the original connector.

The product is Rockmeister's Smart Supply, find it here:

DO NOT direct wire a 5v USB ports wires to the 12v system, unless you don't like your USB device.

Thanks, nydiver. Bit bulky for my liking, useful for weekend warriors for sure.
I'm going to buy the factory 12v plug I think.

Would that be the same on a 2012?

Location and plug, yes
