The Camoplast Freeride is available in a 136 again. Don't know for how long or how many were made, but I got mine at Port Yamaha. No need to extend the tunnel ... just need a set of rail extensions and new hyfax.

You were able to put a 136 with no tunnel extensions on a Phazer? I just did a 121" and now I had wished I did what you did. The track looks awesome! Let us know how is rides, handles and does in the deep stuff.
That's not my sled in the pic. I found that online when looking for rail extensions. It seems some guys are already trying to take advantage of this track being available. These guys want an arm and a leg: http://sudbury.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...a-Phazer-136-longtrack-kit-W0QQAdIdZ340728623
As I said, I got my track at Port Yamaha for considerably less and rail extensions from Tom Hartman. I have yet to receive my track and rails, but several people I talked to said the tunnel would not need to be extended ... and the pic above is proof positive that this dealer is not doing it. There's no snow where I am right now, so I probably won't be reporting on the track anytime soon.

The same here. My sleds are still in the shop waiting for some parts. No snow for at least a week or two. I think that sled looks awesome! Talk soon.

That is about right for dealer prices in Canada, I think I remember the price for the freeride was 8-900 bucks before they stopped making it.
Wow. Definitely a big difference between Canadian and U.S. prices.

If you don't extend your tunnel you will damage the track by hitting it on the tunnel lip where the flap hangs when lauching or bumpy trails. It's not worth it to throw a $600. track on then tear off the lugs. Ask Hartman!!
Total cost for me was $800.00 with track and all materials.

Thanks for the heads up. My OTD price was less than $600 but believe me, the last thing I want to do is wreck a new track. And I certainly don't want to mislead anyone.

Canoehead, did you buy the track at the dealer or aftermarket?
I have read that an extension is necessary. It would give you some storage back there anyway.

It's a 136" free ride I ordered 3 years ago. If you want storage the extension is a win win!
The $600 was including shipping. (not cheap)

Tunnel extension is necessary! I've seen ones that aren't extended that have damage to the rear of the tunnel. Just for comparison, I got my 121" Freeride for $493 shipped to my door.

Shipping for mine was nearly a $100. If I remember correctly it was under the $500 mark then with taxes and shipping it was just under $560

i highly recommend extending the tunnel. yes, the 136 fits under the stock tunnel but once you hit some big moguls & start jumping it, you will tear up the snow flap & the angle braces.
it's not that hard to do. size out a sheet of aluminum & modify the bumper. like canoehead said, it's not worth the risk.

$525 for the 136 Free ride from tracks USA. you will have to call for shipping prices.
When you look at the pic from my first post in this thread, it's easy to see that the tunnel lip will dig right into the track when the suspension is fully compressed, so I take back what I said about there being no need to extend the tunnel.
I'll have a better idea of how much tunnel extension is necessary once the track is installed. Still waiting for the track and parts right now. Ordered a set of graphite hyfax, but asked about the new Dupont/Yamaha slides and was told that besides being $60 each, they are very hard to get. My dealer has only received three sets this season, and those were on backorder from customers who ordered early (when word of the new hyfax first got out).
Question for you guys about pulling the skid: I had some trouble backing out the bolts where the front of the skid attaches to the tunnel. When I would remove one bolt (didn't matter which side), the other one would not back out because the rod they thread into would just spin inside the front arm. The only way I was able to get them both out was to re-install them and then back them out together simultaneously (reaching over the seat with a wrench on each bolt). Is this normally how it's done or is there an easier way?
