Thanks for the pics Phazme. Nice job on the tunnel and bumper work. Can't hardly tell where the bumper was cut and welded.
I noticed you (and a few others who have done this) moved the bumper to the back weldnuts ... no problems getting the holes to line up?
Looks like you went with a little heavier gauge aluminum for the tunnel extension ... Whadja use? Did you bend it yourself?
Last question: Since this is not your first Freeride, and since I noticed your 121 was studded, I'm wondering if you've had much trouble with the track rubbing the top of the tunnel. I've read some guys were having that problem (as well as the track derailing without a 4th wheel). I would think that the track would balloon a little more than normal with the weight of the studs, but since it's possible to fit a 2" lugged track in the Phazer I'm not sure if it would even be an issue. I ask because I want to run a different skid ... one that requires mounting it higher in the tunnel to maintain suspension geometry, so I'll be loosing some clearance if I do this and it would be nice to know whether I'll have enough room to make it work.
the track will hit the tunnel studded or not so I run tunnel strips from Yamaha had to make them longer aswell for the 136 the studs still hit a little thats parts of the reason I used thicker mat. as for the extension I did bend it myself. Had to ream the holes in the bumper a little bit to move it back not a big deal.
