What kind of problems will I have extending out my 136" Mono suspension to 144". Will the Mono still work or is the geometry off? How deep of lug track can I go?
I am also interested in changing my attak to a 144. What is all involved in this?

I am also very interested in this, cause my stage 2 S/C is just to much power and get lots of track spin, and we get alot of snow here, and I am planning on going to the mountains like a couple of times. so what should we do. extend the rails or buy the whole new skid? and if so what kind? expert x, mtn tamer, m10 or whats everyone doing?

I am just finishing my extension to 144x2 camoplast challenger trac on my '07 attak. Used the Hartman tunnel extension kit. The tunnel extension is pretty easy to do, then the track change is a track change, which for me has been pretty involved and time consuming, but I'm not the most mechanically inclined and had some excellent assistance. The only thing real "different" thing I had to do was remove the tunnel protectors, but that was expected for the 2 inch lug. I'm just now putting my chaincase, brake, and sheave on today, hopefully wil getthe skid back in too.

Removed all the panels, removed the exhaust, removed the tank, removed the seat, removed the parking brake and main brake. Then the skid, drive shaft. I had the local Yammie shop press on the new 8 tooth anti ratchet drivers, now I'm reversing the process. I hope to be riding it this weekend, so I'll post pictures and a report next week.

Why did you remove the exhaust, tank, and seat? With the skid and driveshaft out of the way, you could access the tunnel protectors with a drill and dremel from inside the tunnel without the aggravation of ripping the whole thing apart.
I know, you're right, you had told me that before but I thought it would be easier to remove rivets with the seat out of the way, and actually removing the seat, exhaust, and tank was rather easy compared to the rest of it.
I just kind of got going on the removals and didn't catch on that I didn't have to do it until too late.......doht!

What was the cost of your conversion (track, rails, tunnel extender, etc.) Do you have to extend the tunnel?
$1050 including the track. You would have to extend the tunnel to stay safe.
Can you give me a break down of the prices?
I don't have the receipt with me, but all I got was the Hartman 144" tunnel extension kit with the track, about $500 for the track.

I converted an 07 RTX to a 144" using the new ZX-2 suspension. I love it! I go close to 280 in full gear and can finally ride hard without bottoming out. I have not been out west yet (This Feb!) but I do have a 144"x2" Challenger to put on when I go. Can't wait to try it. Even with the stock 150HP engine, I felt there was no way this sled should ever come with anything less than a 136". You just can't put that kind of power to the ground without studding. Now with the 144, I find myself blipping the throttle off every little bump and launching the sled. Regardless of how you do it I don't think you will regret stretching it out.

I am having a lot of trouble getting the skid back in. Today I am going to see if I can rent a suspension spring compressor and try it that way. If that doesn't work, I will take the skid back out of the track and use a ratchet strap to set it up to the right then stick it back in. But As soon as I get it in, I will post a picture. It sure looks extremely aggressive and I am really hoping it gives me some float in the powder this weekend.

I have removed the shock out of the skid to re-ajuste the shock and it went back in with ez. maybe try putting the skid back in without the shock for more flexable front and rear arms then put the shock in it worked for me.
