I have a RX1 Blue. It is definitely the fastest color. I like aggressive riding on groomed trails. I also like to go off into the woods in the powder. I am thinking of doing some mods like a 136" track. I would like to know what is the best track to go with and I would like your feedback from people who have done this conversion. Thanks.

You don't need 136" to go off trail with RX1. You just need a GOOD track. Get a camoplast 9818/9833 and you'll be running confidently off trail.
If you really have to go with 136, then 9818/9834 is your ticket.

Boston...have you taken it off trail that much yet? I've been doing some of the same thinking here, which I am going to go to the 136" kit w/M10. Have you given consideration to the skis? I found going off the beaten trail the stock skis pushed through the snow verses having good flotation and cutting ability. Stocks are great on groomed trail, but not a good performing ski off. You should take a look at Mr. Sled's set up on the TY forum for the 136. I'm not sure if it's in the mods section, but let me know ifyou can't find it, I've got a link saved on it.

Boston I have changed my machine to a 136. But I did not do it for the powder, it is better in powder but not great. It still won't plan on snow as well as renagades or sks's. But definatly rides and handles better , but with a little push. You will like the benifits of the ride and stability, not to mentoion great hole shot.

Thanks for the info. I like the idea of the Warrior. I am not going to stud and I just figured that more track on the ground means better stopping and starting. From what I have heard, the ride is much better and the handling is improved. I was also thinking of changing the skis as well. I felt that the skis just sank in the powder and it was alot of work keeping the thing from getting stuck. I will look for the TY mods and let you know my thoughts. Any thoughts which kit you are going with? Will it be a full extension or partial?

Hey boston, dont believe the handling hype about longer track handling better,i have done the 136 con. before on a tripple before,it did ride somewhat better, but that was before long travel sus.evolved the way they have today. Now an m-10 136 would ride better than what u got now for sure, but it will be heavier, harder to turn thru tight stuff and if u ride agressive, might not be as good as what u now have,if it was shocked differently. Good luck

I have heard so many great things about this setup. Does anyone have a recommendation for a track. I am not going to stud. I was thinking of the Ripsaw, but I don't want to be a Guinea Pig. I want something that is tried and true.

Hi Boston, have you decided about 1" or 1.250" yet?

My thoughts were to go with the 1.25". It only makes sense to have more stopping and starting power. Any thoughts?

Can you tell me if the 9834 is like the stock track interms of installation or do I need to add anything in addition to the track. I know the pattern is much different.

If you are going to stud I would add tunnel protectors all the way to the front and consider mounting additional protection to the existing protectors.
