Excellent. Thank you very much!Yes, 14 and 15 MY's came stock with some stiff torsion springs. Good for a guy 240/250 (maybe more) in street clothes. If I were you I would call John @ Accelerated Technologies. He is so much more knowledgeable than anyone at Hygear.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the stock Yamaha Sidewinder torsion springs intended for a 170 lb rider? Curious about the weight range of the Hygear torsions?

The stock torsion springs are 175-215 weight range. At around 215 they don't recommend cam position 1.

This would be correct and then add 30 - 50 lbs. of snow and ice in the sidewinder tunnel from a day's ride. You would then need to be on position 3 on the cam and torsion springs do not like to be topped off.The stock torsion springs are 175-215 weight range.
