I saw... I rode....I want ......a 144 Apex...I rode Phazernut's 144"X1.75" Apex today...What a beast!!!!!!!!!!!...She don't plow through the snow she jumps out of it...and lands on top...Craig was able to blast past me in 3 feet of powder while my 136"X1.5" was spinning grabbing to keep her head above the deep....I wish I had done the 144 extension instead of the 136.... Again what a beast..

You beat me to the forum Larry. I have to say am really impressed with my sled now. Most fun I have had on it since I got it. That 144 with the Back Country is fantastic. Up till now I never would have attempted to go blasting through powder on my Apex. I have attached a couple of pics showing both sleds so it is easy to see the difference. Also look at the pic of Larry. That look on his face is showing how he looked when the wife said he could have stayed out for another hour as he loaded his sled into the truck.

sweet dude, cant wait to get mine on next week. hope i like this cobra track i orderd, wish we had more snow here so i coulda got a deeper lug!
im glad i read this cause i was kinda worried getting the 144" instead of the 136" they both appear pretty similar in length by pic but you can deff tell the tip up.

If you don't have a lot of deep snow to play in I would say the Cobra will be fine. I do mostly off trail and ungroomed riding so the Back Country really works.

Stock gear is 24/38? And u went to 23/40? Is this geard for low n mid? Im not to worried about flying accross the lakes but i wanna be able pull the skies on command for bumps n driveways. Whats your top speed on that now? I think ill order the lower gear if u r happy with it.

Oh yes! I've had a Expertx 136 setback to 144 with a 1.5 Cross country for 2 seasons. Go LOTS of places I couldn't with a 136x1.25. Still handles pretty good as well. Course, I'm 6'3" and 300 lbs LOL!! I can wrestle ANY bear in da woods LOL!!!

I hear you on that being a big guy you can fight with any sled. Still in love with my 144" setback. The best attack angle you can get.
