Pros and cons? I don't ride any trails, 70% backcountry 30% ditches. Thanks for any input.

They are tipped for better handling on firm trails. Might be some help on loose but I would think for you floatations is most important. Question is does the tip up affect floatation? I would think not much if any.

If you're off trail I think straight would be best. You want the most track on the ground you can get. I think you'd be better off with straight.
