Anybody have any advice on the best way to compress the front of the skid to adjust the limiter strap? Can it be done trailside?
When you guys did your setbacks what happened with your limiter strap?
I set back about 3" and dropped about 1" and my limiter strap is now completely slack - has play in it. I did my setback this spring. Haven't ridden yet this year. Any opinions about this?

limiter strap
I am no expert, but I set my limiter strap one hole tighter than the full expansion of the front part of the suspension. When I give it throttle it forces the front of the suspension down and helps lift the skis(front suspension) up. When I am in the powder it seems to help keep the front of the sled up and floating instead of plowing. The limiter strap is normally slack when riding down the trail. When riding in the spring I normally tighten the strap to keep from packing the skis while climbing. Other than that I leave it slack.
Hope this answers your question.

Thanks. Yes that does help some but not completely. So the front of my suspension should be fully expanded now, since the limiter is slack and therefore can't be cinching it down? So are you saying you would go and tighten the strap to the first setting that will begin to apply tension?
I don't understand that. I get the part about having the limiter loose and the front of the sled staying up. But if you tighten the strap isn't that going to pull the skis down into the snow? What do you mean by packing? When riding in the spring I normally tighten the strap to keep from packing the skis while climbing.
Lastly what about actually performing the adjustment. How do you get the front of the skid compressed? Can you do it trailside?

Hey boondoggle for trail side just take a ratchet strap and compress the rear of suspension. Put ratchet around bottom of track as far back as possible around tunnel and ratchet compltely compressed and tip sled on it's side and adjust your front limiter strap.
