I'm wondering if its possible to run a 153 extension on a XTX with a 2in track while keeping the tunnel the same. This would only be for riding out west then it would be ran as a 144 for normal flatlander use.

I will take some measurements tonight. What is the length of your tunnel? Just measure the extension from where the exhaust cover mounts.
Also if you need I have everything but rails for a MTX skid that I will almost just give you.

My extension (factory tunnel) is 12 inches on the top of the tunnel this is measured fron the front starting edge of the ext. to the end of that peice of metal before it bends down. I cant measure from the muffler mount because its not there anymore since I tunnel dumped my exshaust. I am pondering using the skid I have but just bolting on a rail extension and track for going out west, then returning it to the 144 XTX skid when in WI.

Give Scmurs or Moto from OFT a call or shoot them a PM for exact measurements. But you should be fine, you can always run larger wheels too. It's about 4-5" of on the ground extention. We have run a 162 under a stock 153 MTX with no issues. I will be going to a 162 CE and i also have a 153 MTX stock tunnel.

Perfect, thanks guys. I know a 2inch will fit, I have all tunnel protectors removed. I plan on using a OFT extension, and plan to use thier wheels and ditch the slydogs.
