16" track in a 2003 RX-1 Mountain ?

Hello !


1. Does a 16" wide track fit in a 2003 RX-1 Mountain ?

2. Does somebody know of some type of "Cargo rack" for the RX-1 Mountain ?

You CAN fit a 16" wide track in it - the tunnel for this years mountain sled is the same tunnel and it gets equipped with 16" wide track from factory.

What you might need to do though;
Switch the drop brackets for something thinner,
Trim the bolts from the chaincase.

and you need to put one 1/8 thick washer between tunnel and h-arms on both side.

I just put a 16" wide track in my 04 RX-1M. Very tight but it does fit. I shaved all 3 chain case bolts and put a lag bolt in the one chaincase bolt that the track runs over. Worked great. I think that was tundras idea. I also made 1/4" 6061 aluminum drop down brackets. I did this to put an AC skid in which also made it so the track would fit. Like LB stated, the 2 main things you have to change are the drop down brackets and the chain case bolts.
