Does anyone know if a 16" track will fit in a nytro tunnel? Was thinking of getting a nytro mtx but would like as much track as possible. What is the deepest lug that will fit, with or without tunnel protection?

1.5" track with the tunnel protectors, 2" I believe without, my 1.75 has good room still. Are you looking at a short track sled? XTX? or MTX?

As far as the 16" width, I know a couple on here have done it, but I seem to remember it being a good bit of work making sure there is nothing sticking too far into the tunnel.

the MTX runs 3" pitch drivers and thus I think can fit a 2.5" track in the tunnel, same issues with the width though. I gotta say though, that's a big sled for around here!

After getting my buddy 2doo with 154x16x2.5 stuck last winter don't know how many times and my SXR, maybe time to go big or go home. Couple guys wouldn't go out with us because their sleds would have just drowned.

I'm on my 3rd season running a 174x16x2.5 on a mtx with no issues. CR Racing makes a bolt kit for switching to 16 wide, you need to grind down some rivets a bit and swap out the back rear suspension mounting brackets with thin ones which also drops a couple pounds off the sled. takes a couple hours if you know what you're doing, otherwise maybe an afternoon, well worth it in my opinion.

My 08 nytro fits nicely with a 163x16x2.5. Only problem is if you add anything to the tunnel the bolts or rivet stick through. Added some aftermarket running boards and had to be careful where to rivet. My track is a camoplast peak and the lugs are only 15.25 wide but the whole track is 16 so that helped with mounting of the running boards.
