Just picked up my new track today, SWEET
I got the new 162x16wide with the 2.31" paddles. This track is the 2.52 pitch not the 3" pitch. I'm hoping the new suspension geometry on 2005 RX-1 mountain is less prone to ratcheting then the old style suspension. With this track I will have to run 8 cog extraverts due to the extra height of the paddles. Got them already too. Bought the Wahl Brothers ones again they seem to be the best. Now if I had the sled and the turbo I would be ready to ride
My dealer says the sleds are on the boat and on their way here. Not including the extra height of the paddles on this new track compared to my last years track a 159x15x2". This new track is 8% more track
. On top of that last year I ran 9 cog drivers which shortens your foot print from 8 cog drivers 3/4", plus the new suspension has the top rear idler wheels closer to the bulk head then the old style suspension which balloons the track less which also helps lay more track on the ground! I know these last 2 things I mentioned are mynute, but in the world of deep powder SIZE DOES MATTER. (More foot print that is) Lots of guys talk about track speed, but I've seen 136s or 144s with lots of track speed that can't FOLLOW a trail a big track makes with way less track speed. Just for the record I seen 60-64mph track last year depending on snow conditions. Check out this 24" wide x 156" long with 2" paddles on it in a tube chassi my buddy built. TRACK is EVERTHING in the deep fluff.

Are you selling your old 159 X 2 track and 9 tooth extrovert drivers? If you are I am very interested.

Hyerup, I got my track through my dealer, P.G. Yamaha (250) 562-4151 Ask for Don or Gary tell them I sent you. They had 1 still left to sell. RX1-Moose I was thinking of shoe horning that 159 under the wife 600mm tripple. No power anyways to climb big hills (And she doesn't climb big hills anyways) but should plow around in the deep stuff like crazy.

Thanks SF- I talked to Don-those guys know their stuff. He was in the process of having some drop brackets made...what are you going to do for brackets?
