I need to remove front skid shock assembly to send out for a heavier coil spring and to have the QS3 shock revalved to match the newcspring.
I do not have a snowmobile stand. I keep my sled in a trailer.
Can I remove the front skid shock and then drive sled back in trailer? I know The rear torsion springs will hold up the rear I didn't know if the front of the skid would collapse and cause any issues ?
Has anyone taken that shock out? Is there anything I should be aware of it looks fairly straightforward To remove the front skid shock.

I am pretty sure it will hold itself up with out the shock in the center.

With my weight I cannot get enough preload to reduce front ski pressure so I am going with a heavier spring i'm over 300 pounds with gear.

Hey guys just wanted to let you know removing front skid shock with sled sitting on ground was no problem. I know the rear skid comes out pretty easy on these sleds but since it was in the trailer I did not have a way to hold the rear of the machine up in the air and I was working by myself so I had no extra help.
1. Removed all spring preload until dual spring was loose by turning spanner/adjustment nuts
2. Removed lower shock bolt ( had to push up slightly on running board to get lower bolt out of skid).
3. Removed upper shock bolt and removed shock from skid.
Something to keep in mind is I had my front limiter straps as loose as they would go on the final hole in the strap. If you have your straps pulled up I'm not sure if you can fully remove all the coil spring preload without messing with your limiter straps.
