I have a chance to pick up a 17 Sidewinder LTX - LE for $11k with 2,000 miles and it has 3 more years of warranty. Really want to pull the trigger, but my sleds see 10,000 miles before I think about selling it.
What's your thought on the longevity of the turbo motor? I know yami motors are pretty much bullet proof without the turbos. Just the extra juice and 1st year have me holding back.

Thoughts?

The motor would be my last concern, the chassie,is like any other lightweight sled made today,it will take some looking into at seasons end. But I think the Sidewinder was a success for being a first year sled,if sled looks clean, and you can start it,and is the style you want, sounds like a good deal to me.

If it's in good shape, it sounds like a fair deal to me.

The motor is out of something resembling a Formala one engine, except I bielieve even F1 doesn't apply the boost recerculating engineering feature with individual down tubes feeding the throttle bodies, zero lag and enormous power keeping it ultra smooth all at the same time. Heck you can operate this beast at 30kmh without a hick up or anything abnormal or 194kmh (120mph) out of the box without even thinking about it.
The chassis is amazing, it eats up trail junk with ease, and smoothes out even the smoothest trails, it'll take air no problem and whip through any corner at will, or you can just Cruze.
The reliability and durability is excellant. Just keep on top of greaseable items like bearings, movable suspension parts, and regular wear items and you'll be golden.
