Talked to Dyno Ray last week about his engine mods. He said that with his cams, porting and intake mod plus a fuel controller it should make the same power his RX package makes with bigger carbs which is 188 HP. The price is about $2,300 US. This is for everything except the fuel controller. He is not done with the intake mod yet so he does not have an exact price yet. The way I understand it he is making some kind of spacer to go between the head and throttle bodies to allow each cylinder to feed off of more than 1 throttle body. Some king of cross over? This is also with you installing the parts.

That would be pretty cool for flatland guys ,the further up in elevation you go though the more the Turbo systems will shine , and that price is getting real close to a turbo system.

Yep, I'm a flatlander, but I am still going with the powderlites 260hp on pump fuel turbo. For a few wxtra more bucks, why not and gain 70hp? Seems like an deal for the guys not wanting the full blown power.

I think supercharger would be better for flatlanders ( NO LAG )

THis may be true. But the front mount Alpine/powderlites turbo is minimal. Plus, this "lag" is only a split second from what I hear, unless you have a bender rear mount that is. Anyways, I'm greedy. Why not have more hp for about the same price? With a S/C, I'm only looking at 200 hp on pump fuel. I want the most possable. If I could safely hook up a NOS system to the 260hp turbo for trail riding I would do that to. :nos lol.

How much is the powder lites system if you install it yourself? Does it really make 260 hp on pump gas? Can you hold it WFO for 1 mile?

The two systems (turbo or SC) will produce within 10 HP of each other on the same fuel. The SC system is producing 200 HP without engine disassembly. If you reduce the compression ratio and retard timing, the SC will produce within 10 HP of the turbo on pump gas. Some say less difference due to SC air charge being cooler. Hope this helps.

Most people are greedy , it gets to be addictive, that's why I recommend what I've got ...........Mcxpress with 17 pds. of boost 310 horsepower .( no engine work except for a thicke headgasket). The Powerlites kit is Good too from what I hear .

Why would anyone pay $2300 for a 188HP, when you could get NOS for $600 to $900 and be at ~193 HP to 225HP? Granted the $2300 version you don't run out of NOS.

Sounds to me like this may be modled from a tuned port engine.(more directed air flow to the heads for much more torque) sounds good. Keep us posted

The supercharged set up gets terrible gas mileage - like 6 - 9 at best. its always spooled up - a turbo you can run 90ish and not be spooling the turbo 100% - can actually get better mileage than stock with a turbo. the big plus is you can switch the boost to a lower setting for pump gas.

Guy's I don't know much about those big HP numbers but I DO know you make a dyno read whatever you want.......is this stuff for real or what??
