went on a poker run yesterday and i was following a group of sleds b/c i didn't know how to get to the next stop. so the leader took us across a corn field that looked like it was chissel plowed in the fall
i was going slow saying to myself"this field sucks, i'm turning around" and no sooner did i say that and i caught a frozen chunk just rite, kicked me off and my attak skidded on her side to a stop. flopped it up and i ruined my left cover that covers the clutches, ripped out all the fastners, broke all plastic tabs and messed up the bottom cover that it connects too.
so i did what i could to get it to stay together and went home. i put it in the garage and did what i could to make it better. i have zip ties holding the panel on rite now. wasn't a good day, w/ only 200 miles on it. so i was wondering if anyone has a used side cover and bottom cover on the left (clutch side)

Sorry to hear of your misfortune!
I might be able to help you out. My 07 Attak GT struk a deer and I think it will be totaled. If it is I may be able to part it out. I should know by Tuesday.

Definitely could have been worse. Sucks to have that happen, but its really not THAT bad. Bad would have been if someone going the other direction hooked your ski. Have you asked your dealer what those panels cost?

timebomb,
Hopefully my story will cheer you up, we went up to Quebec this weekend with our wives. My wife borrowed my buddies '05 RX-1 and I was on my new Attak. My wife was riding more and more aggressively as the day progressed, she has not rode in years, and she went off of trail 360 and flipped the RX after taking out about five trees. Did $1200 in damage to my buddies sled, which I will probably be buying now. I got on the RX and limped it back to Hotel Central in Ste. Michele, she rode my Attak to the hotel and then I rode back Glaciere to get the truck and trailer. She had about four drinks while I was gone and was in better spirits when I returned to retrieve her and the sled.
She only has a few bruises and a bruised ego, it could have been a lot worse. I told her she bought a used RX-3/4 and she got a good laugh out of it.
Moral of the story, I know it sucks you banged up your sled but it could have been worse. Good luck fixing er up and enjoy your next ride.

DUDE! That sux... BUT I did something similar with my new Vector back in 2005. I took it out after xmas and rode 100 miles like a bat out hell. Then I was slowly cruising back down my neighborhood street being "Mr. Responsible" and my right ski bumped a snow covered Christmas Tree stump. The sled rolled to the left and skidded down the road about 15ft on its side. The left side panel was totalled, the left grip was torn, and the left spindle had a flat worn in it at the top. I could've cried... I can ride on the trails like a madman, but I couldn't even get it down the road. the worst part was that some lady was walking her dog about 50ft from me and witnessed the whole event. I'm sure she was thinking something like, "They should BAN those unsafe machines! These guys are going to get killed... and my puppy almost got HURT!"
Anyhow, I feel your pain. My motto is keep running it scratched up until you really have a total... Then replace it.
