Well went riding yesterday and as I assumed my problem WAS the 911 cover. This is all I changed. I put the stock cover back on and I'll be dammed right back to where the rpms should be. Now I called Thunderproducts and will call back tomorrow to inform them of my results and to there credit they were very interested in my outcome. The bushing in the cover and billet material around the cover is a hair to big. They told me to sand it a bit with emery cloth, and the spring fits way tighter than the stock cover therefore I believe the spring is binding. This could be the only thing cause even adding and subtracting weight in my 2 speeds the rpms were the same within a 100 or two rpms. So I hope to address this with them and figure it out. I am not pleased I spent 200+ dollars and it does nothing but hinder my performance instead of improve shifting and the such. So I hope to get my money back or at least something for my troubles refund credit something. I will let everyone know how it went. :o| :o| :o| :drink: :drink:

RTX just wondering if there has been any follow-up on the cover? Was considering purchasing one but that's now on hold. Let us know.

Still waiting on a return call. I've sanded the material with 320 grit sandpaper and the spring is still way to tight in my opinion

911

if spring is tight on cover you will have to grind spring to fit, most yamaha springs fit, i know o-s-o will not fit, i grind spring to fit it does not effect rpms.
i have had to do this duane's cover as well, hi-tech cover.
