Anyone done an oil change yet? Anyone able to post some torque specs? Anyone have a 2008 Tech Update, or service manual to pull info from?
Thanks,
Steve

Allen from Ulmer racing would be able to help you, but the oil change is fairly easy. Wish I would have taken pictures and listed which parts to disassemble. For the 1st time, take out your screen on the bottom of your oil tank, and blow that clean. Every new 4 stroke, I have found little fiber particles from rags, and cardboard.

No need for a shop manual to change the oil. All the information you need is in the owner's manual, including torque specs.
Good idea on the screen....
One thing to watch out for, besides the oil filter being on REALLY tight, ensure you remove the o-ring with the old filter before trying to put the new one on. First oil filter I've seen that came off the motor but left the o-ring attached to the motor. I'm sure that would have caused a leak!!!

How do you access the screen in the oil tank?

When you have your panels off, the oil tank on the bottom will have a gold tube with a rubber hose attached to it. Remove the rubber hose and clamp, and remove the metric allen bolts (2) that hold it into the oil tank. Once removed, the screen will come out. Watch out for the oil rubber ring, so you can reinstall.

Dropped my baby off at the dealership today for its first oil change and a few repairs. Broken kill switch, bent steering shaft and a broken limiter strap.

I have had that screen out on a couple sleds, never to find anything, and even if there was something the darn screen is so long and so thin it would never plug the entire thing. It is like a pencil in shape from my recollections.
