Yes that is sad but true.
I started a new room project in the basement in late Nov and decided I would not go snowmobiling before I got the room done.
Well the room is done and I was going to go riding next weekend, but with the warm up coming I decided I would go this weekend.
We road out of Harrison MI to Houghton lake. The trails were a little dirty but they were very flat. I had a great time riding and out with my friends sharing the sport that we love.
Run across a nice long road and lined them up like we always do. Still impressed with my 05 RX1 with Ted Jennetys set up. My sled pulls hard out of the gate and pulls decent on the top end. We probably run close to a 1/2 mile but not sure as I didn't measure it. I did let off before I had to but did not want to run out of road at those speeds.
I have ground off 1 tooth on my speedo gear and from what I can tell I am 1-2 mph faster on my speedo at top end than the gps.
I pulled 119 mph. Not bad for a close to stock 600 lb sled with a 215lb driver.
This sled still puts a smile on my face every time I hit the gas.
P.S. One of the guys in the group is 80 years old and has cancer. He is in the middle of his treatments and doing well. He drives a Viper led the pack all day. There were times when I wished he would stop so we could take a break, but he just kept on going. He went 101mph by his speedo on one of the roads we were on. Pretty impressive! I hope I can still ride if I make it to 80 years old.

My first time out this year was last weekend as well. No riding last year Put an M10 on the RX1 and had to wrench on the wife's sled. Fall is about hunting so I didn't start on the sleds until mid January. Flintlock season ended January 15th.
I am 52 and I have a friend who is four years older then me and rides fast and makes me look like I am sitting still on the trails...old guys rule.
I have a 03 RX1. Typically top end is 115-118. Fastest ever was on a lake....kicked 128 mph. Still my bragging speed.
Feeling the need for speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
