I sold my stock 03 Rx-1 during the summer and picked up a 2005 Warrior. I finially got out for a ride yesterday. WOW, what a difference.

Usually I'm hurting after the first ride of the year, but I feel great. My Shoulders are a little sore from hanging on. There's no sled engine out there that compares to the pull of these 4 bangers. This engine works best with the 136" track. I finally have some traction! I'll never own a 121" again.

I easily hit 200 kph on an ice covered road. She had more but I ran out of room. My 03 was struggling to hit 180. What approx speed am I actually running on radar with the speedo reading 200kph (124 mph)?

Ice covered road? Not nearly as fast as it reads. Could be off by 20 mph or EVEN MORE.

05 is NOT faster than 03 at all, unless something was wrong with the 03 or very very right with the 05. They are for all practical purposes, identical. In fact, the 05 long track should be marginally SLOWER as a result of greater friction and wind resistance in the tunnel.

I'm sure there was something wrong with the 03. I could barely hit 10K rpms. The 05 will run up around 10800rpms.

The road wasn't all ice. There was decent traction with little resistance. How much is the speedo off? 10%? 20%?

Got my warrior out yesterday, man what a RUSH.Got to agree with you, nothing like the pull of a in-line four  .

I agree with the power statement of the 4 bangers. This is my first year on my 04 Warrior, and it doesn't matter if you are going 20mph or 70mph, if you hammer it, it will throw you back. Endless power..... I love it.

I found Speedo error on my 04 Warrior was about 11% high.

One of the best additions I put on my warrior was the backrest. The constant pull has been tough on my shoulders. Given the choice to slow down or put on the backrest, chose the backrest!
