What are the other mods you did.
It is difficult to identify single modifications that offer improved stability. Anyway, the following "package" made an improvement in the stability of my 2008 RTX 40th with a 95 kg rider, but I can not guarantee that only one or few of these modifications will work:
* Sway bar removed.
* Linear 28 N/mm front springs at zero preload.
* Linear 28 N/mm center spring at ~5 mm preload.
* Yamahas stiffer option rear springs at "middle" preload position.
* SLP PP skis and carbides from a 2008 Lynx RS racer, mounted in the middle position.
* Upper ball joints shortened 2.5 mm.
* Toe-out specification close to double compared to OEM recommendation.
* Frequent service to the ball joints that seem to wear out in less than 1000 kilometers (once they are shot you will REALLY know what stability problems are like...).
I am also using non-OEM shocks and track, but this has got less to do with stability and more to do with suspension comfort, suspension bottoming resistance and pure traction...
And again - no guarantee that these modifications will work alone and no guarantee that these modifications will work for everybody else. Now I just wonder how much of this that will work in the 2009 SE...
