Can i put a 2" riser on my Grizz without having to extend cables. I think there would be enough slack?

After some research i have found out the most you can go is 1". PowerMadd now sells a 1" and a 1.6" plastic risers for ATVs and said for Yamaha the most you can go with stock bars is 1". You can get an Isovibe set from another company but it's costly at $139 for the isovibe riser(2.5") and have to buy all new brake, throtle and choke cables & brake hose. So it's like $250+tax+shipping. I will stick with the $40 1" riser.............James

Reaper660,
I'm wondering why you would want risers with the stock handlebar ?? They're pretty freak'in high already.

I've just installed some Pro Taper fat bars on my Grizz with an ATV High Bend. No risers .... yet .... & it really feels good to me. (They're a little wider than the stock bars too)
HOWEVER ... when turning real sharp, the bars do skim the top of the gas tank cover.
PowerMadd will be coming out with some 2 inch alum risers soon (& I think some 3 inch later)
I'm gonna get a set of the 2 inch risers as soon as they are available. I'm getting the PowerMadd Risers instead of Rox risers because I hear they are designed differently.

I'd post a pic or two of the handlebars I have, but I don't have them on my work computer .... hey, I gotta take a break once in a while .... OK !!!

Anyway, if you're interested, let me know, & I'll post a couple pic's for ya to view.

Oh yeah, along with the new handlebars I installed a set of new grips. Some ODI Rouge grips. They clamp on so there is no glue to use. They are way nice. I rode for six hours yesterday over all types of terrain with no gloves & my hands felt great .... they would of been clean too .... except for that mud hole that jumped out in front to the Grizz ... scary sh*t dude !!!

I just got some 3 1/2" Rox risers & have an order in for a set or 2" PowerMadd risers when they become available. I want to compare them & see if I like the 3 1/2" ones or the shorter 2" ones.

Also, I believe PowwerMadd will be coming out with a 3" riser later this year. If they are anything like the risers they have for sleds, I believe they will be the ones to get.

I'm gonna post a pic or two of the bars w/o the risers & then one or two with the risers.

Later when I get the PowerMadd risers ... I'll post some pic's of those.

Thanks .... however, I wish it was black .... it would go with the camo a little better.

I think the PowerMadd ones will be (black) & if they are the same design as the ones they have for sleds, I think that would be the ones to run because they are a one piece design.

Anyway ...IMO !

I've been thinking of doing that for some time now but just havent gotten around to it. What length extension did you use?

Right now I have 3 1/2" risers on.

However, I'm gonna try some 2" risers later from PowerMadd when they come out ..... and .... if they come out with a 3", I want to try that one as well.

Remember though .... I do NOT have the stock handlebars on ..... I have Pro Taper Fat bars with an ATV Hi-bend & I think I'm at the limit of the stock cables & wiring on the handlebars.
