I just installed a 2" handlebar riser on a 2005 RX-1 (to go with the Apex seat I also installed)
. I recall seeing posts about this topic and that you could use a 2" riser without changing cables. However, I wanted to double check this held true for this model and year. Thanks.

I just did the lake effect riser 2.5 on my rx1 and I needed to change my throttle cable to a mountain sled cable .this cable is alot longer .my sled would over rev when I turned it one direction but not the other ,so I just ordered a mountain throttle cable from Yamaha dealership in my area .you might be okay with the 2 inch riser . Try it out and see and then order if needed . Was only 30 dollars by the way.if you need Yamaha part number let me know and I will get it for you

I just put a rox 2 inch on my 05 rx warrior and did not have to change the cables. I did move the parking cable in the holder that attaches to the resevoir to give a little slack.
