Fellas, what do you feel the viper is equal too. I keep getting thrown into 700 class with my sled for hill climb races but in other races I get thrown into 600cc sleds.
I get that people think this is a 135hp sled, but I keep explaining to them that I see these sleds Dyno at 127 HP or around there. So I'd be thinking these are equal to 600cc sleds.
I have never lost to a 600 cc, usually only race till 1000ft anyways, anything past that i don't think it's a race, I think it is a top speed competition.
What's your guys/gals opinions?

If your stock, its a 600 class sled, throw on an intake, can and clutching and your a 700 class sled, my reason for saying this is with the above mentioned modz, i raced a cat f7 and we we're neck and neck every time in a drag race up to 80mph

I think that says it all. As devil's advocate if I was a 600cc competitor I might be prone to grumble about the 1049cc machine beating the snot out of everyone in the class.

But it only fires half the time of the 2strokes! So it's a 524.5cc. LOL

But in all seriousness what does the intake mod and a can actually do? What do we gain 5hp? So we're up to 135 maybe. I think a ported 600 will put down some good numbers

Its basically a 600. With tons of grunt. A modded 600 race sled will put out 145 hp to 150. Stock some run 130. I think these races should be set on hp not cc's
Same issues at the dirt track 18 years ago when the 4 strokes took over. Same with insurance i was paying less for my 2012 doo 800 with 150hp stock. When i went to the 1049cc 4 stroke it doubled because i was over the 1000cc mark. Eventho my new sled has less ponies.

That's what I'm saying! I win races with holeshots and torque, but I also weigh more. So idk why we get are chops broke at hill climb events

I have a Nytro with programmer, exhaust, clutch kit & I hang in there with the 800's no problem in a drag race.
