hello. I have just started a new sled project, Its a 08 Nytro rtx chassie and Im going to put a Viper engine with hauck pipes, v-force 3 and some more fun parts..

I have a question about the skid.. a have seen some nytros with ac skid, can i use a ac 153" skid and a 162" track and mont the skid further back?? or is the angel of the track to bad?

A pro RMK 155 skid will bolt into the stock holes on a 153 and accommodate a 162" track with no set back or extension. Just shim the cross shafts for the tunnel width.

Why

Not bashing but why would you put a Viper motor in a Nytro the 4 stroke Nytro motor in stock form pulls way harder than a Viper ever thought of!! Traded my Viper for a RX1 and was way happier then went to Nytro after that. Maybe a Vmax4 motor in a Nytro? Kinda wide but way better than a Viper motor!! Torque with pipes unreal!!

because I already have a Nytro rtx se 09 4-stroke with hauck exhaust, pc, kn filters. This sled is going to be used on some hillclimb races and on whatercross on summer.. thats why ?=

okey. But my chassi is a Rtx 08, is the holes on the same place on a mouintan chassi?

a pro rmk skid will be hard to find i guess, I know a AC 153 from a M1000 thats why a ask about the ac skid,

Im not bashing either but just cause you have a chassis and a motor doesnt mean they belong together..... Nytro chassis IMHO will be way to heavy for a middle of the road trail sled 2 smoke. Let me know how this project works out for ya!

Re: Why

I had a Yamaha Viper once, with first a aeen piped viper engine then i put in an hauck 760 "red top" engine. the sled had a lynx skid and was reinforced and a little bit heavyer then stock, i think the nytro chassie will me lighter than the old viper chassi i had the 760 in... and that sled ran good.. you will know how it works out laiter and I hope I can impress on you ;)!

Pipes

I had the Bender Pipes and they were built with the 835 in mind and I wanted to do that but then I traded for an RX1. The pipes were a little on the big side for the 700 to build torque I think was part of my problem. I would have liked to have big bored that motor could have been fun. It will be a cool project for sure I am excited to see be sure to post pics.

I always wanted to try a Viper chassis with a Vmax4 motor in it I am kinda looking for a cheap Viper chassis but have never found one yet.

Later

Had some time over yesterday and test-monted the Hauck pipes in the chassie... it will need som fab, but i think it will work.
