Incredible but true.. i went sledding with the wife, did 500 km in two days, but she isn't the aggressive type so I rode very easy to see maximum MPG I could make...Did EXactly 19.8 MPG in the best 300 km... But sorry, those are imperial GAllons, so only 15.8 MPG in US gallons...

PS. I got the Apex gear in front so better than stock, and 4th wheel and Hyperfax are the mods with HX-C secondary...
I'm still hitting the cutoff at 11200 RPM so I Can do better....

But still pretty good for a sled that does 115 mph on speedo and 110 mph on GPS

15.8 is more believable.. YOU HAD ME GOING WITH THE 20

hell i get 13-16mpg beating the snot out of it.. LOL

harder the snow the better the gas milage..

Rx-1 still gets better milage.. my brother always used 1-1.5 gallons less per 100 miles fill up..

I recently saw some good milage from my 05.We went from houghton to lanse(spelling?) in the U.P. It was 90.6 miles and it took 4.25 gallons,This comes out to 21.31MPG US.600 sdi got 19.1 mpg and prox 800 who always gets 8 to 10 mpg got 15.Must be all down hill!

Thats true though, doesn't matter if you ride hard or easy, at least the injection makes it constant...

:die :die

PS, the DOO's don't get that great mileage after they've been reprogammed the second year ( they're just so lean to pass anti pollution laws) and that's why the motors bust, too lean.. and when the rich them up, down goes the gas mileage.. specially the 800's and 1000's... #*$&@ the 600's anyway they don't interest any of us...

What welterracer said. my abservations are exactly the same. The milage on the fuelies kind of suck when you come off a RX-1. there were time with the RX when I would have 140 miles on the sled before I would fuel up. I would never push my Attak that far. one trip this year I had 110 miles on the odometer and took 8.9 gallons @ the pump. My buddy has run his ER out of fuel twice this year and @ the pump he took 9.5 gallons @ the pump. Each time he was about a mile or 2 from a station and both times he turned the key to activate the fuel pump got the sled started and idled the machine enough to engage the clutch and nursed it in. anyway 10 gallon tank but only about 9.4 usable. :exc:

The gas mileage these 4-strokes get is quite impressive. I look forward seeing these kind of results as well.

Now all i have to do is wait till next winter to ride my new 07. :4STroke:

I can't complain. When my son rides with me he takes at least 2 gallons more every fill up on his 600 edge polaris.

BountyHunters Attak and my Rx-1 shorty were within 25 cents on fill ups so they have to be pretty close in gas mileage. We did the same trails same speed as we were with the TY group.

polaris's suck fuel wise..

My buddys XC600 barely gets 9 Mpg

Tell your buddy to put a Boost bottle on his polaris... I put one on my 700 anc went from 10 to 14 MPG... they're jetted way too rich...And I know of a lot of people who got same results...with more power..

May have to rejet after boost bottle..

RASH

Sorry, of subject..a little.
