Hi I have a 2001 yamaha kodiak when it's in 4x4 and the front wheels spin the diff. kick out does any one have a clue what the problem is.

sorry when you have it in 4-wheel drive and lets say im plowing snow or just playing in the mud or the snow when ever the front wheels spin it kicks out of 4 wheel

you have the push button 4 wheel drive correct??

It sounds like it could be in ther servo that pushes it into 4 wheel drive. If it pops out, you have to cycle the button to get it back in right??? Sounds like a trip to the dealer to have the selinoid checked.

no i dont have to push the button again it kicks back in when you let go down to idel

I still think its in that servo....that keeps it locked in

well good news i just got done working on the kodiak and the problem was the servo motor but it was 1 or 2 teeth off so it wouldn't ingadge all the way in im happy now.
