My 03 RX1 just rolled over 10,000miles with the off season approaching I was wondering what type of prevenitive maitenance I should consider doing. I plan on starting off with a compression test. Just wondering about the timming chain and tensioner if they should be replaced?
I also plan on changing the Jack shaft bearing and also changing the Pro-Action suspension with a AD Boivin ZX2. Other than that does anyone have any Ideas?

mine now has 29000 miles on it chain tensioner and chain will be fine .My intake valves did get tight and needed adjusting at 22000 miles though. Go through and check for loose rivets and replace any that are.I greased the jackshaft and axel bearing every 3000 miles and they lasted 25000 miles I replaced them at that time they still seemed fine though. Check your secondary for cracks on the towers that hold the slider buttons on mine broke at 12000 miles the 2005 and up the tower are built thicker and won't break. check bushings in primary clutch also. Good luck.

what to check

Track drive axal, our group had 2 break at 10,000 miles, on warriors 1-04 & 1-05, Keep on riding, I am pushing 14,000

Replace jack and drive shaft axel's IMO. My drive shaft bearing went and took out speed sensor too.

Crazy, How do you grease those bearings?

Remove secondary remove snap ring carefully pry off seal and smear new grease in bearing. on axle remove nuts holding bearing retainer remove retainer and speed sensor ring carefully remove seal with pick and smear new grease in bearing and then reassemble.
