The major repairs were a new crankshaft at 8000 miles upgraded to 2005 rings at that time . My oil drain plug fell out my fault. Replaced the oil tank with a new take off mine cracked, replaced secondary with slightly used apex secondary my towers cracked ,two exhaust flex pipes ,drive axle broke this year had a used one laying around , 5 tracks ,front end bushings 3 times exhaust donuts 3 times , pro action suspension I removed at 5000 miles it was still good and I put that in my 95 vmax replaced it with a edge suspension what a piece of crap it was completely shot in 8000 miles replaced that with a used mono-shock suspension off an 06 apex beefed up the w arm and installed the edge suspension idler wheel brackets and thats been reel good still in good shape . One set of skis replaced with pilots . Replaced battery before this snowmobile season started. spark plugs twice, rebuilt primary clutch once, and quite a few rivets that loosened up. The 10 mm sway bar broke updated to a 13 mm bar. Thats about it other than carbides slides some wheels and belts. Use about a1/2 to 3/4 of a quart of oil in 2000 miles . Also replaced the jack shaft and axle bearing once.

Did they happen to tell you what was problem with crank? Hope you were on warranty probably were for the miles you tack on. Ill be at 6,000 this weekend just wanting to know if I might have some issue with crank ?more than likely a rare occurance .
