I have a 2004 rx-1,I removed the transfer rods, tried an mpi transfer kit and found the transfer kit did nothing?if you totally compress skid the straps do nothing.the last thing I tried (and works great)is to move the complete rear scissor, spring assembly ahead 4".you have to remove the rear set of idlers, mount the scissor where the idlers were and move the front of the spring(top idler shaft)ahead 4".the rx-1 is actually fun to ride now, weight transfer much better almost feels like more h.p and better in the powder.sled is stock other than this mod.

did you keep the mpi transfer kit or did you go back the the stock setup

Before you get too far into this set up,there is an inheirent problem with that set up.The Proaction Plus skid frame is very finicky to changing it's geometry,Unless you're running extrovert drivers, you are eligible for breaking a drive shaft. While this set up works well,as the suspension goes through its stroke,it tightens the track, putting an unbeivable amount of stress on the plastic wheels and bearings and will eventually break the drive shaft. To test if this is going to an issue, lift the machine so that you can put a 10-12 inch block under the front of the skid then push down on the rear bumper, the skid should collapse without binding or tightening the track.Linc
