Hey guys,
My sled is at the shop right now for the Mono updates.....
Here is what I am getting:
-New Wheels
-Rail Re-inforcments (on back-order)
-New Front W-Arm
-RA Boot Update
-UPDATED BUSHINGS
(Question....is everyone else WAITING on these bushings? My dealer has everything in and ready to go EXCEPT 2 small plastic bushings from Yamaha)
What's the difference between the 2005 bushings and the 2006 bushings? I am considering having the dealer just install the 2005 bushings instead. I figure....what could have changed so much with 2 small plastic pieces that it would make that much of a difference?

I don't know exactly what the difference is, but the material is different. The '05 material was white and seemed to be maybe a little softer than the '06 Black material. Not sure why they can't get them though, I got mine in few days from my dealer. Maybe you are talking about the "bearing" (for lack of a better word) inside the bushing. In '05 they were made of aluminum, in '06 they are steel with some plating on them.

Does anyone have a part number for these UPGRADED bushings?

The plastic bushing material changed and the sleeve went from aluminum to steel. You can look up the part numbers on yamaha-motor.com\
I have been waiting 2 weeks for mine. I hope they come in tomorrow.

My dealer told me the same thing "they are waiting on the bushings" They told me two weeks. I have heard that before!!!! My sled is very nuch ridable as is, so when they get all the parts in I will let them do the work. Now all I need is some snow. I have been agonizing over the desicion to "buy or not to buy" I would love the GT but the $$$$ is a bit much for 1500 miles a year of riding.

Don't worry about it.....I look at it this way. In about 5 months after the 07's are released, there will be 2006's available for sale at alot less than NEW.rhoag said:My dealer told me the same thing "they are waiting on the bushings" They told me two weeks. The only downer is that the 2007's will look so good that they will most likely make the 2006's look the way the 2005's look now.
last year at this time I wanted a 2005 RX1 so bad, I thought it was the only sled for me.
Sometimes I hate this business....
