- 2006 Yamaha Rs Rage (Red)
I have a 2005 Rs rage, it has only been ran for 15 min in the last two years until the other day when I finally got it started after blowing air through the gas tank vent hose, I am trying to get it ready for ice fishing this year, and went to drain the oil, when doing so, I noticed it looked like chocolate milk. I pulled the oil filter off that looked ok, Could this be from it sitting for so long and getting a lot of condensation?
Also when I had it running it had a light that came on that looked like a triangle with and exclamation point in the center and the engine was smoking, which may be caused from the water in the motor. Not sure please help me and try to figure this out!

It could have been from being flooded. Does it smell like fuel? I would change the oil, clean the carbs and drive the hell out of it.

I did keep starting it a lot and quite often until I read some where to use the gas tank vent hose worked like a charm! So it was probably flooded really bad. Thank you! I do have the oil to change it I have to find the screw next to the oil filter to drain that then I can finish the oil change. We do have snow here not enough to ride but we are seeing shingles of winter!
Thank you so much for your help

Make sure you drain the oil from the block from under the motor as well as the tank on the right side. Then pull the filter. Good luck and we are always here to help.

Yes it has a drain. There is 3 allen head screws and one of them has a brass washer on it.. thats the drain.

If there was a skid plate installed on your sled, they will have to come off first. then it will be obvious where that drain is located. Good luck!
Check the chain case as well. After you do get it running, and a tank of gas through it, check that oil in case it gets cloudy again.
