2005 rs rage 1000 wiring

Just bought a 2005 rs rage, rode home, ran great. Parked and won’t start again. Power to solenoid but not coming out, will turn starter if I jump the solenoid with wiring unplugged to ignition. But will not turn without battery pack on. Thinking I have a short to ground somewhere or a combination of issues. Did find some frayed wires. Thinking of replacing wiring harness and solenoid. Anyone ran into similar issue or have any suggestion?

sounds like battery took a dump. seen that happen before.

check for green contacts where wiring harness plugs into the starter solenoid.
