Hey everyone... I just joined as i picked up a 2005 RX warrior and i noticed on the first ride that the clutch engagement seem high and jerky or ruff, also i could smell the drive belt burn a little on slower take offs. If I tried a slow smooth take off it kinda surged and i could smell the belt slipping. if a faster squeeze on the throttle it grabbed hard and takes off. but I want a smoother transition.I trail ride mostly and weigh in at 250 with gear and am looking for a fix.
I have read that putting in the 14.5 rollers and ypy spring will help with engagement and make it smoother? should I look for other normal clutch maintenance things first?
Also where could I but the 14.5 rollers and the ypy spring?
Thanks in advance

if i were you guys i would start with stock parts in the clutch & secondary , & work from there , you could have diff parts in ther that don,t match , stock is smooth.
with your belt their is adjustment behind secondary , if new belt you may need to adjust it.

clean the clutches 1st as belt dust will cause them to bind. some guys swear by the dishwasher but i usually clean mine with a shop towel and a blow gun.

Mine shifts smooth with 18,000 miles on it. All stock! I blow out the clutches every 500 miles and clean the clutches every year.
