New to site, just bought a 04 rx warrior, 7000kms , i changed the oil, and cleaned the carbs with a friend , he says the clutch is making a wierd noise, there were pieces of a belt in the sled and the belt that was on her was torn and worn pretty bad, any ideas what could be wrong? my buddy said the rollers are loose??? anything would help including a price on a new clutch[/b]

the noise is probably the normal rattle noise that they all have. turn the idle speed up to 1500rpm and it will go away. the clutch will not be worn much at 7000km. buy clutch alignment tools and check offset and center to center, these sleds are not hard on belts when set up properly.
my roller bushings were worn some at 8000km, everything else seemed usable

Its not the clutch, its the gears between the crankshaft and the PTO shaft. The clutch spins slower than the crankshaft. The gears chatter a little bit. Perfectly normal.newfiewarrior said:he says the clutch is making a wierd noise
I don't think you would want a new clutch, even if there was something wrong with yours. A better option is always to REPAIR than to REPLACE. There are some wearable parts in the clutch -- some bushings. They can all be replaced as needed.anything would help including a price on a new clutch[/b]
A thorough inspection certainly wouldn't hurt, of course. And cleaning.
