I need information about possibly having to rejet my carbs on my Warrior due to the fact I am planning on installing 2 TPI valves on my stock airbox. Is this something recommended and if so what size jets should I install. The sled is completely stock .Has anyone used the TPI valve and are they effective ???? .Any information would be helpful and appreciated .

I have not heard of anyone having much luck with TPIs on 4-strokes. They were initially designed for 2-strokes. Maybe some one will chime in here. Did you try a search on "TPI" ? You do not want to be chopping into the airbox, until you know for sure that what you are doing will work. Did you call Thunder Products and ask about their use on 4-strokes.

TPI valves / rejetting
I agree with your last posting comment. I have only heard about the valves recently from another friend of mine so I am still uncertain.I did some research on them and they claim to be effective as most companies will find some way to promote their products so i wont go forward until I have solid proof of their effectiveness. As far as cutting the box and leaving an open hole thats out of the question as the air box works in conjunction with the carbs to achieve proper volumetric air pressure to maintain correct air /fuel ratio for the engine to run right.that is the other reason I was asking about rejetting as well as to what size jets would be practical for the set up if I were to use only two valves. The rejetting will be done as I need to clean my carbs because one seems to be clogged cuasing motor to skip at idle on one cylinder so I figured upon doing the valves as one step and upping the jetting size on the other but I am not sure how big of an increase needed.

rejetting/cleaning
Sounds good as a possiblity although it only skips at an idle, above that is runs fine, just acted up during the summer when I usually fire it up to keep fluids flowing.I cleaned carbs back in March and ran fine up until then.So I figured to remove the carbs once again but installing possibly larger jets as I possibly plan to install 2 TPI valves but I am not sure what size to increase to due to the fact of more ambient air entering the stock airbox.Possibly considering just a couple sizes over stock would be ok.Whats your opinion ????

I am not real big on modifying from stock. My brother-in-law was always modifying his sleds. Seems like I was always towing him home or letting him use my back-up sled. So, ... I am not one to suggest a jet size. You might want to consider putting a new post on the RX forum asking about the TPIs and Jetting.
